a lot of people are beating this sound into the ground right now, but pop sensibility is something most of them lack.
ty segall & white fence - “time”
i definitely had higher hopes for this record, but with that said, it’s still really good. two of the best songwriters going right now. if you are vaguely interested in either of them, it’s worth listening to. i am psyched to see them together on this stacked bill next week:
twin shadow - “five seconds”
boom! the day after i post about getting really excited for the new twin shadow record, they drop a new track. really a huge step forward in both production and songwriting. whereas the last record felt relatively distant and vulnerable, this track is super confident and in your face. i am so psyched to hear the rest of the album.
dive - “how long have you known?”
every time i listen to this song it gets better and better. really so excited for the record.
lemonade - “neptune”
there’s a pretty serious groove in this song and i am all about it
