their debut LP was #2 on my favorite records of 2k11 list, and as a band they were absolutely my favorite new discovery of last year. i always felt that the studio version of this track was a bit flat, but the times i have seen them play it live, it was totally bursting with energy. this is one of the rare times that a “live session” video actually captures the energy and essence of a band’s live show. if you have never listened to them, check out what i think is their best song: “after the moment” and once you’re hooked on that, check out the rest of the LP.
